Clemson Alumni Association Board Officer Application

Applications are now being accepted for the office of Chair-Elect of the Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors.

The role of Chair-Elect carries with it a two-year term that commences on July 1, following the election and has a commitment of service of six years, from the commencement of duties as Chair-Elect to the completion of a term as Immediate Past Chair. The deadline for application for the Alumni Association Chair-Elect is April 12, 2024.

To submit an application, please complete the form below. For best consideration, candidates should submit up to three accompanying letters of support. Letters of support can be attached to this form via the supporting documents section below.

Making A Difference in Arizona

While in Arizona for the National Championship, join the Arizona Clemson Club and the Clemson Alumni Association as we make a difference in Arizona by volunteering with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul – an organization whose mission is to Feed, Clothe, House, and Heal the poor and needy members in the Arizona community. The event will take place at the Henry Unger (Phoenix) Dining Room and the HSC Garden.  The location is in Phoenix and is convenient for fans staying downtown.

 

Volunteer duties will be split into two groups where one group will work in the dining room setting up, serving, bussing tables, and cleaning up.  The other half will help set up the community garden which is used to provide fresh fruits and veggies used in their dining rooms and to hand out to needy families.

 

Date:   Sunday, January 10th
Time:   9:30am-1:00pm
Location:  1075 W Jackson St, Phoenix, AZ 85007, the blue building.
Parking: Use the gate code 3044* for access to the volunteer parking lot off of 10th Ave and Jackson St. or 3044* for the entrance off of 13th Ave and Madison St.

 

Dress code:  Comfortable attire: jeans, t-shirt (Clemson colors preferred), closed-toe shoes, ie. sneakers. For your safety, NO heels, short- shorts, tank tops, spaghetti straps or strapless tops. NO sandals or open-toe shoes.

 

Age Limit: 14 years old and older.

 

Waiver:  All volunteers need to sign (or if under 18, have a guardian sign) a waiver.  The waiver will be available the morning of the event for you to sign.   Waivers remain on file and are required on a one-time basis.

      The Alumni Association staff, along with the Board of Directors and Alumni Council, strives daily to enhance your lifelong connections to Clemson. We work diligently to keep you well informed and up to date on all things relating to your University. Our goal is to provide resources that unite Tigers across all majors, ages and geographic locations.

      A family of over 135,000 strong, the Clemson Alumni Association has been a non-dues-paying, inclusive organization since 1896 and is made up of all who have completed at least a semester enrolled as a Clemson student.

      Through collaboration with University colleges, departments and our exceptional volunteers, we are dedicated to ensuring that your Clemson degree is ranked among the finest in the nation. The Alumni Council and Board of Directors assist the association in these goals. The council consists of representatives from our numerous Clemson Clubs and special interest groups as well as each college and University board. They provide leadership for our organization while ensuring the inclusion of opinions and perspectives of alumni across a broad spectrum. The Alumni Association Board of Directors, elected to three-year terms by the Alumni Council, supply insight and direction on programs and initiatives, strategic planning, governing policies, and financial audit and review.
