Join us for Clemson on the Coast, a weekend experience that invites you to marvel at the melding of Clemson University and the charming city of Charleston, South Carolina, where history meets modern elegance. Home to more than 8,000 Clemson alumni, the fourth-largest concentration of living alumni in South Carolina, Charleston is a natural extension of Clemson University’s campus.
This weekend is about more than experiencing Charleston; it’s also about connecting with Clemson University. Enjoy a guided walking History and Book tour by University Historian Otis Pickett. Network with Clemson alumni at various events and activities tailored for the Clemson enthusiast including a Welcome to the Lowcountry kickoff event on Friday night hosted by the Charleston County Clemson Club. Finish off the weekend by heading down the historic Avenue of the Oaks to Boone Hall’s Cotton Dock for an evening of live music by The Chris Crosby Band, Lowcountry fare and Oyster Roast, a full bar, and outstanding marsh views. Revel in your love for Clemson, all while enjoying the enchanting backdrop of Charleston.
Close out the evening at Boone Hall previewing the Clemson Vs. California Men’s Basketball game starting at 8 P.M.

What does my ticket get me?
The ticket for Clemson on the Coast offers you the opportunity to participate in the full list of activities offered for the weekend. The Friday night welcome and trivia, Charleston tours with Otis Pickett and the evening at Boone Hall with Lowcountry fare and Oyster Roast. Plus a preview of the Men’s Basketball game vs California.
What should I wear?
Comfort is important for tours and activities. Your best walking shoes are best, and orange is always welcome! For the Boone Hall event, we’re calling the suggested dress Coastal Casual – think barn jackets, boots, vests, and winter dresses. Whatever you will be most comfortable in while taking in the views at from the Cotton Dock.

Are children invited?
This event is intended for folks 21 or older. But the Charleston County Clemson Club’s Annual Oyster Roast in February 2025 is open to kids of all ages! For details on how to secure your ticket reach out to charlestoncc@clemson.edu.
