Traditions

Keeping the spirit alive.

Our deep-rooted traditions create a feeling of belonging to the Clemson Family that others just can’t comprehend. From our military heritage, Welcome Back Festival, Howard’s Rock, Ring Ceremonies and Tiger Rag to the “25 most exciting seconds in college football,” our traditions make our blood run orange. Determined Spirit. Commitment. Dedication. These are the things that connect Clemson alumni around the world.

Clemson Ring

The Alumni Association, along with the Student Alumni Association (SAA), co-hosted two ring ceremonies this past year. President Clements presented more than 2,000 rings to students during the fall and spring ring ceremonies. Clemson ranked No. 2 in the country in collegiate class ring sales with more than 2,780 rings sold.

Golden Tiger Reunion

Over 400 alumni and guests attended Reunion 2015, including one member of the class of 1939. This tradition brings Tigers back to campus for tours, social activities and the celebration of the 50th anniversary class — this year the class of 1965. Make your plans now to attend this year’s reunion — June 9-10, 2016.

Homecoming and Tigerama

The Alumni Association enjoys welcoming the entire Clemson Family home to campus! This year, alumni enjoyed reconnecting at more than 15 different events during Homecoming weekend, from special interest groups and college tailgates to Tigerama and Roaring 10. Fall Band Party

Fall Band Party is an opportunity for young alumni to come home to Clemson and celebrate with food, fun and entertainment. The party is held on a Friday night in the fall before a home football game. This year, more than 300 young alumni attended the event, enjoying food-truck vendors and the band, “The Business,” at Tiger Park the night before the University of North Carolina game.
