Laptop Set-Up Workshops

Clemson University provides Laptop Set-up Workshops to incoming students to assist in the installation of Clemson software and to connect to the Clemson network properly. Each year, new students are encouraged to attend these workshops during the Summer before they begin the Fall semester. Volunteers are needed to greet students, assist them in locating the correct room, loaning cables, and helping parents locate a comfortable place to work. Assistance is also needed with distributing handouts, getting students seated and plugged-in, and walking them through the workshop. Both technical and non-technical volunteers are needed. A training class for volunteers will be offered in June for technical volunteers and a web site will be available containing all of the information that will be used during the workshop.
