Smith earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in communications studies and Spanish from Clemson University in 2005. She received her juris doctor, with highest honors, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2010. Smith currently serves as an attorney at Andersen, Tate and Carr, P.C. in Duluth, G.A.
Smith is a member of the Gwinnett County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Military Spouse JD Network, and serves as treasurer of the Appellate Practice Section of the State Bar of Georgia. She is a member in good standing of the state bars of Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
Smith currently volunteers in her community through the Gwinnett County Library Foundation, Legal Food Frenzy, Rally on the Runway and Special Olympics Georgia. She is also a member of the incoming class of Leadership Gwinnett 2022.
As a student at Clemson, Smith was the Tiger Feature Twirler in Tiger Band (2002-2005), a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and of the Golden Key National Honor Society.
Smith dedicates her time to Clemson as a member of the Clemson Alumni Association’s Diversity and Inclusion committee and through various volunteer positions held within the Atlanta Clemson Club, including a term as club president. Smith and her husband Andrew ’05 are also members of IPTAY, Clemson’s athletic fundraising organization.
The alumni board has 22 members and is the governing body for the Clemson Alumni Association. Primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the association, financial audit and review, the establishment of governing policies and strategic planning.
