Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens Volunteer Morning
May 2, 2020
9:00:00 am – 12:00:00 pm
Don’t miss this exciting annual volunteer morning led by the Clemson Club’s own Dean Norton ’77, Director of Horticulture at George Washington’s Mount Vernon.
Volunteers will have the chance to experience Mount Vernon at its best in the springtime. In addition to volunteering, you will hear stories about the historic property including behind the scenes details about the estate that are not part of the typical ‘public’ tour. This is certainly a unique and fun way to see this beautiful monument and give back to our community at the same time.
Our Clemson family will help clean up and groom the estate’s surrounding forest areas helping them appear as they did in the 18th century. This is a very family friendly event and children are encouraged to attend. Lunch, water, gloves and fun will all be provided!
Registration is free for members, their children and one non-member guest. For all other non-members, registration is $10.
