Courtney Meeks Named to Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors
The Clemson Alumni Association has named Courtney A. Meeks of Greer, South Carolina, to its Board of Directors.
Meeks earned her bachelor’s degree in Language and
International Trade (Spanish) from Clemson University in 2015 and her MBA in 2017. She currently serves as Senior Human Resources Manager at Milliken & Company, a global manufacturing firm headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
A passionate advocate for inclusive leadership and organizational development, Meeks has led numerous strategic initiatives at Milliken, including workforce planning, Global Culture and Inclusion programming, and employee engagement efforts. She also leads the company’s Multicultural Engagement Resource Group.
Her Clemson involvement spans more than a decade, including service as a student worker in Alumni Engagement, VP of Philanthropy for the MBA Student Association, and Global Ambassador with the Office of Global Engagement. She was also a Gilman Scholar and studied abroad twice during her time at Clemson.
As an alumna, Meeks served on the Clemson MBA Alumni Council from 2018 to 2023, including two years as President. She was named to the Clemson Alumni Association’s prestigious Roaring10 in 2022, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the university and her community.
Outside of Clemson, Meeks has held leadership roles with Upstate International, the American Heart Association, and the United States Global Leadership Coalition. She also founded and operated Hudson Park Events LLC, an event planning business, from 2020 to 2024.
“Serving on the Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors is both a privilege and a responsibility—to connect Tigers across generations, celebrate our shared legacy, support the continued growth of Clemson University, and strengthen the bonds of our Clemson Alumni Family around the globe,” said Meeks on her appointment to the board.
The alumni board has 22 members and is the governing body for the Clemson Alumni Association. Primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the association, financial audit and review, the establishment of governing policies and strategic planning.
