The ceremonies highlighted several multigenerational and reunion-centered moments that demonstrated the powerful role the Clemson Ring plays in connecting alumni across decades:

  • Two members of the Class of 1977 Golden Tiger Reunion Committee, Sheri Costa Belk and Pat Dolan, ordered their Clemson Rings during Ring Week and participated in the ceremony.
  • Mark Williams, Class of 1976, a member of the Golden Tiger Reunion Committee, and his wife, Anne Williams, Class of 1978, participated in the ceremony and re-received their rings together.
  • A special three-generation Clemson family moment occurred when Dan Rogers (Class of 1970), his daughter Angela Rogers Chamberlain (Class of 1998) and Angela’s son received their rings together, representing three generations of Clemson legacy.

The celebration extended beyond the ceremony itself. At the Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center, where a photographer was stationed near the iconic Ring Statues, more than 500 visitors stopped by throughout the day to take photos and interact with the Conklin Ring Gallery. The activity underscored the Ring Ceremony’s role not only as a student milestone, but also as a meaningful engagement opportunity for alumni, families and supporters.

Held each semester, the Clemson Ring Ceremony celebrates students and alumni who have earned the right to wear the University’s most recognizable symbol. The tradition continues to foster lifelong connections between graduates, their families and the Clemson community.
