Chuck Hodges Named to Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors

The Clemson Alumni Association has named Chuck Hodges of Atlanta, Georgia, to its Board of Directors.

Hodges earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University in 1992. He went on to earn a Master of Economics from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Juris Doctor from Mercer University, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Florida College of Law.

Hodges is a federal tax litigator with Jones Day, an international law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., where he handles federal tax litigation and transfer pricing matters. He also serves as an adjunct professor in the LL.M. in Taxation program at the University of Florida College of Law. [

A dedicated Clemson alumnus, Hodges has maintained a strong connection to the University through volunteer leadership, philanthropy, and advocacy. He has served as Vice Chair of the Atlanta Clemson Club and has been a member of the Senior Advisory Committee for the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business, helping support planning efforts related to the College’s growth and facilities.

Hodges has also demonstrated his commitment to Clemson through generous philanthropic support. He is a donor to the Powers College of Business building campaign and the Hodges Family Scholarship and has been a Clemson football season ticket holder for more than 20 years.

Beyond Clemson, Hodges has been actively engaged in civic and charitable organizations throughout the Atlanta area. His service has included leadership roles with the Boys & Girls Club, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the American Cancer Society, and Alliance Theatre. In addition to his professional and community involvement, Hodges is an accomplished artist whose collaborative work with his wife, Stephanie Blank, is displayed in The Bascom gallery in Highlands, North Carolina, and a published songwriter. Hodges has two sons, Davis and Carson, who attend the University of South Carolina Beaufort and The Citadel and both play baseball at their respective schools.

As a Clemson student, Hodges was actively involved in campus life through Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and various organizations within the College of Business.

On his appointment to the board, Hodges stated, “Clemson has been one of the greatest blessings in my life, and I am honored to serve on the Alumni Association Board of Directors. My goal is simple: to give back to a university that has given so much to me, my family, and the countless friends I have because of Clemson. I look forward to doing everything I can to encourage other Tigers from around the country to support Clemson’s continued growth and to help ensure that future generations of Tigers have the same transformative experience I was fortunate to have.”

The Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors consists of 22 members and serves as the governing body of the Association. The board’s primary responsibilities include oversight of the Association’s programs and initiatives, financial review and audit functions, policy development, and strategic planning.
