Bharat Ganesan Named to Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors
The Clemson Alumni Association has named Bharat Ganesan of Greer, South Carolina, to its Board of Directors.
Ganesan earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University in 2009 and
later completed his MBA at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in 2015. He currently serves as Sr. Product Line Manager at AFL Global, a leading provider of fiber optic solutions for broadband networks, data centers, energy infrastructure, and other applications headquartered in Duncan, South Carolina.
A dedicated alumnus, Ganesan has held multiple leadership roles within the Greenville Clemson Club, including Secretary, Vice President, and currently President. His commitment to Clemson is longstanding, beginning with his involvement in student government and campus organizations such as the Clemson University Student Senate, South Carolina Student Legislature, Academic Integrity Committee, and Clemson Students Against Multiple Sclerosis, which he founded and led.
Throughout his professional career, Ganesan has actively fostered connections between Clemson and the business community. He has collaborated with Clemson’s Packaging Science department, Athletics, and the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business to create opportunities for student engagement, research, and recruitment.
On his appointment to the board, Ganesan stated “Clemson has been a constant part of my life since the day I graduated, and for the past two decades I’ve been proud to serve our alumni in different ways. Joining the Board of Directors feels like a natural extension of that journey. I’m excited to give back to the university that has given me so much, and to help strengthen the Clemson Family for generations to come.”
The alumni board has 22 members and is the governing body for the Clemson Alumni Association. Primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the association, financial audit and review, the establishment of governing policies and strategic planning.
