Ben Moody of Charlotte Begins Term as Chair of Clemson Alumni Association Board

The Clemson Alumni Association has named Ben Moody of Charlotte, North Carolina, as Chair of its Board of Directors. Moody officially begins his term as board chair on July 1.

Moody earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University in 2016. He currently serves as Finance Director in Corporate Treasury at U.S. Bank in Charlotte.

As a student at Clemson, Moody was actively involved in campus leadership, serving as president of Sigma Chi Fraternity, participating on the Interfraternity Council and as a member of Tiger Brotherhood.

Since graduation, Moody has remained deeply engaged with Clemson and its alumni network. He has served on the Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2021, including service as Treasurer and Chair-Elect. During his board tenure, he has helped guide the Association’s financial stewardship and strategic initiatives while advancing alumni engagement efforts across the Clemson Family.

Moody has also held numerous leadership positions with the Charlotte Clemson Club, including president. In addition, he previously served on the Clemson Young Alumni Council.

Beyond his Clemson service, Moody is a board member of the W. Brian Moody Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports scholarship opportunities through the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business, and is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte.  .

On beginning his term as chair, Moody stated, “I am deeply honored to serve as chair of the board and to continue building on the strong foundation of our past leaders. Our more than 200,000 living alumni make up an extraordinary community, united by a shared commitment and passion for Clemson. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated alumni staff and board to advance our mission and engage alumni at every stage.”

As chair, Moody will lead the Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors, the governing body of the Association. The board’s primary responsibilities include providing oversight of the Association’s programs and initiatives, financial review and audit functions, establishment of governing policies and strategic planning.
