B. Aubrey Harrell Named to Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors
The Clemson Alumni Association has named B. Aubrey Harrell of Stone Mountain, Georgia, to its Board of Directors.
Harrell earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Clemson University in 1989 and recently
retired as a Partner at KPMG LLP, one of the world’s leading professional services and accounting firms.
A dedicated Clemson alumnus, Harrell has supported the University through numerous volunteer leadership roles, including service with the Atlanta Clemson Club, the Clemson Career Workshop Advisory Board, and the Clemson School of Accountancy Advisory Board. He also served on the Clemson University Foundation Board, where he held leadership positions as Governance Committee Chair and Audit Committee Chair. Harrell was presented with the Clemson Alumni Association’s Distinguished Service Award in 2025 for his service to Clemson University, the Alumni Association, his profession and his community.
Throughout his professional career, Harrell has remained actively engaged in the accounting profession and community service. He serves as Vice Chair of the Georgia State Board of Accountancy and has been involved with the Georgia Society of CPAs. His volunteer efforts also include current board service with First Step Staffing, The Study Hall, NABA Inc. Corporate Advisory Board as well as prior board service with Goodwill of North Georgia.
Harrell’s commitment to Clemson is reflected in his philanthropic support of the University. In 2015, he established the Bryant Aubrey Harrell ’89 Excellence Fund, and in 2022, he created the B. Aubrey Harrell ’89 Snelsire, Sawyer, Robinson Clemson Career Workshop Scholarship Endowment. He also serves as the University liaison for the management of the Pi Alpha National Alumni Coalition (PANAC) Endowment.
As a Clemson student, Harrell was actively involved across campus. He served in Student Government as Dean of Student Services and participated in Tiger Band, Tiger Brotherhood, and Blue Key. He was also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Beta Alpha Psi.
On his appointment to the board, Harrell said, “I am honored and excited to join the alumni association board and look forward to continuing the great work that the board and association has done for our great alma mater.
The alumni board has 22 members and is the governing body for the Clemson Alumni Association. Primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the association, financial audit and review, the establishment of governing policies and strategic planning.
