Matthew Bockhorst Named to Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors
The Clemson Alumni Association has named Matthew Bockhorst of Charleston, South Carolina, to its Board of Directors.
Bockhorst earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University
in 2020 and a Master of Business Administration in 2022. He currently serves as a Financial Planner with Capital Advisers, Inc., a registered investment advisory firm.
Since graduating, Bockhorst has remained actively engaged with Clemson University through service on the Department of Management Advisory Board, where he has contributed to the advancement of student and academic initiatives since 2022.
As a student, Bockhorst was a member of the Clemson Football program from 2017 to 2021 and participated in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. During his time at Clemson, he helped contribute to one of the most successful eras in the history of Clemson Athletics while balancing the demands of academics and collegiate athletics.
Professionally, Bockhorst is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and works with individuals and families to help them achieve their long-term financial goals.
Bockhorst’s continued commitment to Clemson is rooted in his passion for supporting the University and giving back to the Clemson community. Through his professional expertise and ongoing involvement with the University, he represents a new generation of Clemson alumni leaders dedicated to strengthening connections among students, graduates and the broader Clemson Family.
On his appointment to the board, Bockhorst stated, “I am deeply appreciative for the opportunity to serve on the Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors. My time at Clemson had a profound impact on my life, and I look forward to interacting with the many others who feel similarly about their experiences. The Clemson Alumni Association Board of Directors consists of 22 members and serves as the governing body of the Association. The board’s primary responsibilities include oversight of the Association’s programs and initiatives, financial review and audit functions, policy development and strategic planning.
