External Advisory Board

The purpose of the HEHD External Advisory Board is to advise the Dean of the College of HEHD in assessing the mission and direction of the College and the underlying philosophy that drives the College’s programs. The External Advisory Board is intended to cover all phases of the College’s activities including its undergraduate, graduate, research and service programs. The EAB will:

• Review the College’s mission, academic objectives and planning documents, and priorities in light of the needs of its important stakeholders

• Act as a communication bridge between the College of HEHD and other cultural, social and professional leaders at the local, state, regional and national levels

• Review the activities of the College and report on strengths, weaknesses and general effectiveness of the College in meeting its mission

• Promote a strong internal and external image for the College of HEHD

• Review the research and programs of the College and suggest strategies for improving the quality and recognition of these important activities

• Advise and assist as appropriate in the development of finance and physical resources from all sources including federal, state, individuals, corporations and foundations.

Currently, there are 22 members of the EAB with two officer positions, Chair and Vice Chair. The Dean of the College serves as ex-officio member of the Executive Committee. The board meets twice a year on the Clemson University campus to receive reports and conduct business.
