Department of Materials Science and Engineering Advisory Board

The School of Materials Science and Engineering Advisory Board provides opportunities for alumni to serve on review panels for senior design projects, as resource mentors for the design teams and to give lectures on career paths. Experienced alumni engineers give lectures on real world engineering challenges to the freshman engineering classes. They provide advice on how to succeed in the corporate world, how to bring ideas to the market place, how to start companies and be an entrepreneur. Members are appointed by the department chair and serve three year terms. Bylaws do not dictate a definitive number.
