Vincent Foody of Greenville named to Alumni Association Board
The Clemson Alumni Association has named Vincent Foody of Greenville to its board of directors. His term began July 1.
Foody received a Chemical Engineering degree from Clemson in 1987. He is currently employed by Mobile Communications America (MCA), a business focused on voice, data and security solutions that enhance the quality, safety and productivity of the public and private workplace.
As a student at Clemson, Foody was actively involved with Sigma Phi Epsilon, serving as president (85-86). He also was on IFC Council, acting as Greek Day Chair, and played a variety of intramural sports.
Professionally, he was a board member and past president of the United States Industrial Fabrics Institute (USIFI). He volunteers in his community at St Anthony’s of Padua and the Greenville Country Club.
On his appointment to the board of directors, he stated, “Since setting foot on campus my senior year in high school, I have always felt a strong connection to Clemson. I am now in a position where I can and need to give back. [It is] an honor to serve on this board.”
The alumni board has 22 members and is the governing body for the Clemson Alumni Association. Primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the association, financial audit and review, the establishment of governing policies and strategic planning.
