August Trammell of Atlanta named to Alumni Association Board
The Clemson Alumni Association has named August Trammell of Atlanta to its board of directors. Her term began July 1.
Trammell received a Communications Studies degree, with a minor in Organizational Leadership, from Clemson in 2009. She is currently the Director of Client Management at the global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Trammell co-leads the firm’s client management program, GT Client Connect, which focuses on providing a comprehensive suite of tailored services to respond to specific client needs, enhancing efficiency, fostering innovation, and strengthening relationships.
As a student at Clemson, Trammell was actively involved with Tiger Brotherhood, Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and Panhellenic Council as president and vice president. She also served on student government through Freshman Council, Leadership Council, and the President’s Cabinet. She was a member of the planning committee for the inaugural Women’s Leadership Conference and the Clemson Memorial Chapel Committee. As a student, she was recognized with the Greek Woman of the Year Award, the Freshman Council Member of the Year Award and the Rising Start Award.
Trammell is also actively involved in her local community through a variety of local nonprofits including roles with Wellspring Living, Peachtree Presbyterian Church, Friends of Mahima Homes, and the Legal Marketing Association Southeast Chapter.
On her appointment to the board of directors, she stated, “I am very eager to engage in opportunities with Clemson Alumni, specifically finding better ways to connect the Atlanta and legal communities to the university while advancing the various university initiatives.”
The alumni board has 22 members and is the governing body for the Clemson Alumni Association. Primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the association, financial audit and review, the establishment of governing policies and strategic planning.
