DESCRIPTION:The Clemson Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Council invites you to join us for the premiere\, kick-off event of the academic year at Clemson University\, the Welcome Back Festival. Each year\, the festival features more than 90 local vendors offering a variety of merchandise and food on College Avenue in downtown Clemson\, SC. The festival transforms downtown Clemson into a massive street celebration of fun\, food\, and fellowship. It also offers area businesses the opportunity to display their services and products to students\, welcome them back for another academic year\, and share their Tiger spirit. All proceeds from the festival contribute to the SAC Scholarship Endowment Fund\, established in 1987 to assist future students attending Clemson University.  \nDetails about the 2021 Welcome Back Festival \n\nMonday\, August 22\, 2021\n6:00pm-8:00pm\nDowntown Clemson\nStudents\, faculty\, staff\, alumni\, visitors and the Clemson community are invited to attend\nVendors will host tables along College Avenue offering a variety of items in exchange for festival tickets.\n\nExamples of items from previous years include t-shirts\, sports bottles\, travel cups\, food\, drinks\, ice cream\, snow cones\, beauty products\, jewelry\, koozies\, phone accessories\, hats\, specialty bags and tons of local coupons and chances to win raffle prizes like a scooter\, gift basket or experience.\n\n\nFestival tickets can be purchased at the festival for $1.00 each with a minimum purchase of 5.\nEach vendor item will vary in the number of tickets needed to acquire the item.\nVendors must provide an item that can be exchanged for festival tickets and all items must have a ticket exchange value.

DESCRIPTION:Have you heard of the Second Century Society?  If you’ve been a past member\, you already know what a great opportunity this club offers for keeping in touch with Clemson University. \nIf you aren’t a past member\, let me fill you in: In 1989\, a dedicated group of Clemson alumni and friends in the Columbia area formed an organization called The Second Century Society.  Their goal was to provide a forum for Clemson to share its message with alumni and friends of Clemson.  It is a networking opportunity as well as an opportunity to learn what is going on in the academic and research fields at our school and what you can do to help Clemson accomplish its mission.  Membership is open to all that share an interest in Clemson. \nPlease mark your calendars for Tuesday\, October 12 and join us for an extra special lunch to welcome the first-ever Clemson Women’s Lacrosse Coach\, Allison Kwolek. \nThe full-year membership to all 5 lunch meetings is $100. Your membership fee covers the cost of your meals at each meeting and administrative costs for the club\, and a $5 gift to the Clemson Fund.
