DESCRIPTION:The Clemson Alumni Association is excited to announce the third annual Clemson Family Spring Fling to be held on Clemson Football’s Spring Game Day\, Saturday\, April 6\, 2019 from 10am – 2:00pm at the Shaw Family Lot (lot 2 – upper intramural field). \nThe Clemson Family Spring Fling is a new reunion event created by the Alumni Association to provide an opportunity for Alumni who participated in Greek Organizations\, Student Organizations\, Organized Intramural teams\, Sports teams and other student activities to gather with their former classmates. Guests will enjoy a tailgate with their organization prior to the game and then enjoy watching the Tigers play! \nThe tailgate will include a live band and food for purchase at four different food trucks on-site.  So far\, those food trucks include:  Kona Ice Anderson and Meat’n in the Middle. This is FREE\, family-friendly and anyone is welcome to walk through the tailgate area to enjoy the music\, food and games. You can also stop by any of the participating organization tailgate tent locations that YOU were a part of as a student at Clemson. \n*Note – there will be no parking available in this lot. And now it’s time to see what our team looks like (for the most-part) during this Saturday’s Spring Game! We lost a lot from our defensive side\, especially d-line\, so curious to see how well the D plays this Saturday.\n\nWe spoke to Union and they are happy to have us for the spring game viewing; the game starts at 1130 so we’ll be able to enjoy Union’s brunch menu.\n \nUnion Kitchen and Tap (333 fifth ave\, 92101); Padres are out of town this weekend so should be plenty of parking downtown. If you prefer a parking lot/garage; I use ‘bestparking’ app.\n \nSide note\, the Final Four games start around 3pm so not much after when our spring game ends; could be fun to hang around downtown for those games.

SUMMARY:Spring 2019 Ring Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Event Details: \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for this event. Details: Littlejohn Clear bag Policy\n\nStudents who are participating in the ceremony are asked to refrain from bringing bags.\n\n\nMetal Detectors will be located at all entrances\n\nIn an effort to ensure that the Ring Ceremony is as safe as possible\, Clemson Athletics\, in conjunction with the Clemson University Police Department\, will implement a walk-through metal detector system in Littlejohn Coliseum at the entrances of the Burton Gallery\, the East Gate\, the South Gate and the student entrance on the loading dock. Students who are participating in the ceremony are asked to refrain from bringing bags. The detectors will require additional time to enter the coliseum\, so please plan accordingly.\n\n\nThe Ring Ceremony begins at 3:00pm\, doors open at TBD.\nNo ticket required.\nStudents should enter the designated student entrance to sign in for the ceremony and find your seat. Students will enter through the Loading Dock beside the Swann Pavilion. See photo to the right for directions.\nGuests of students receiving their ring should enter the building through the Parent and Guest Entrances. The Parent and Guest Entrances include the Burton Gallery (East and West)\, the East Entrance by the Tiger statue and the North Entrance next to Handicap Parking. See photo to the right for details.\nIf you do not plan to attend\, please send an email indicating the students name and mention that they will not attend.\nThose who purchased their ring during Ring Week are invited to receive their ring at the Ring Ceremony in April. Invitations are sent to the address provided during the ordering process.\nUndergraduate students currently enrolled who have completed 90 or more earned hours on their academic transcript (not degree works progress report)\, as well as graduate students who have applied to graduate\, have the opportunity to purchase their ring during ring week.\nAll those who have purchased their ring will be able to receive their ring at the ceremony as long as they purchased their ring NO LATER THAN January 20\, 2019.\nPresident Jim Clements will shake the hands of each new ring wearer after they have been presented with their class ring. Family and friends are encouraged to attend the ceremony to celebrate with the new ring wearer.\nGraduate Students must contact ssummer@clemson.edu to make arrangements to attend the ceremony. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nParking and Driving Directions: \nThe main parking areas will be in Lot 5 behind the West End Zone and under the Breezeway at the Stadium. DESCRIPTION:Volunteers are invited to join us for this fun morning outside as we experience Mount Vernon at its best in the springtime. Our Clemson family will help groom the estate’s surrounding forest areas helping them appear as they did in the 18th century. This is a very family friendly event and children are encouraged to attend. Lunch\, water\, gloves and fun will all be provided! \nIn addition to volunteering\, you will hear stories about the historic property including behind the scenes details about the estate that are not part of the typical ‘public’ tour. This is certainly a unique and fun way to see this beautiful monument and give back to our community at the same time.
